“The Housing Authority of Kittitas County (“HAKC”) was created in 1968 to provide affordable, low-income housing in Kittitas County. HAKC, through its Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs, manages 7 property complexes (161 units) in lower Kittitas County. HAKC also owns Pine Terrace Apartments, a 20-unit USDA-RD apartment complex in Cle Elum, Washington that is managed by Ad-West Realty Services. The HAKC property complexes in lower Kittitas County hold Section 8 project-based vouchers that are administered by the Yakima Housing Authority (“YHA”) by agreement with HAKC.
HAKC is overseen by a five-member Board of Commissioners, volunteer individuals appointed by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners for 5 year terms.
The Housing Authority Board of Commissioners meets every third Wednesday of the month at 7 a.m. Meeting place is 107 West 11th Avenue, Trinal Manor Conference Room, 2nd floor, Center Wing. Currently, Board meetings are taking place via Zoom. For information regarding Zoom access, please contact the Housing Authority office at (509) 962-9006.
